We have successfully reached the end of another year and are proud to announce that we have proven successful in providing needed emergency food, counseling, referral, and social services for the members of our community. We have fed approximately 3 to 4 thousand men, women, and children and provided related social and counseling services where possible. Similarly, we where able to carry out most of our programs without major difficulties. Our we where able to provide community members with fresh fruits and vegetables twice a week, through our Health Eating Program. Also, our Emergency Food Assistance Program was effective and sustainable, for the most part.

Once again the overriding reason for this was due in great part to the dedication and charity of or workers. In this regard, we are referring to former clients themselves who worked in zero decrease whether without the benefit of proper heating to make emergency food stocks available for community members, with little or no complaint. To them we say an eternal thank you.

The Resurrection House Family Service Center is proud to announce the opening of its Employment Area. Here clients can post resumes, actively search and apply for jobs online, receive career counseling and help, etc. Providing a person with food is only one part of the equation. Independence and self reliance is the only true fix. We hope that our Employment Center goes a long way in helping out.

The Resurrection House Family Service Center is starting a new year of service. To ensure that we will be able to continue to provide needed services and improve on existing ones, we are having a funding drive. We would like to invite you to join us in this most important endeavor - a fight against hunger. This year families and their children, senior citizens, pregnant and parenting teens, the homeless, disabled, etc. will face the immediate prospect of starvation in this country. Though it is an uncomfortable fact to acknowledge, it is nevertheless true. The only way agencies, like ours, can begin to prevent this from happening is by way of contributions. So help make sure that those more needy than us do not suffer the pangs of hunger this year. Make a contribution to a worthy cause. The amount donated is not a factor. Remember, something is always better than nothing, especially when there is a question of starvation. You can make your contributions at our Contribution Page. Note, we are a nonprofit, tax exempt organization, therefore your donations are tax deductible.
